What goes on an invoice
Requirements differ by country, but almost everywhere the same items are expected. If one is missing, the invoice is the thing that gets queried instead of paid.
- Your details and your client’s — full legal names and addresses, not just a trading name.
- An invoice number that is unique and, in most countries, sequential.
- Dates — when it was issued and when it is due. "Payable on receipt" is not a date.
- What you did, itemised, with quantity and unit price.
- Tax — the rate, the amount, and your tax number where one is required.
- How to pay — bank details, or the invoice cannot be settled without a follow-up email.
Currency and language are separate choices
The form lets you set both, because they are rarely the same decision. A freelancer in Berlin billing a client in Paris usually wants a French invoice in euro; someone billing across the Atlantic wants English and dollars. The language of the page you are reading has nothing to do with the language of the document you send.

The second point is the honest catch. For one invoice a form is fine, and for a week this browser can fill your own details back in. After that, on another device and for every client, you type them again — which is what an account fixes.
